A paved path follows the south shore of Lake Minneola from Victory Pointe, on the edge of historic downtown Clermont, east through Waterfront Park to the city boat ramp. The ride is flat and open, with the lake beside you most of the way. Victory Pointe has restrooms, drinking fountains and a 40 foot observation tower with views over the lake. From the path beside the restrooms, ride past the lawns and picnic areas of Waterfront Park to the path beside the boat ramp, then turn around and come back the same way. Keep your dog leashed. Pets are not allowed at Champions Splash Park. The ride works two ways. In the morning, pair it with coffee downtown before you set out or after you finish. Later in the day, ride the lakefront and finish before dusk, then settle onto a dog-friendly patio for dinner a few blocks away. Food is optional either way, and nothing needs to be bought to enjoy the lakefront.
