Type illustration3 Aviles Street · St. Augustine, FL · 32084
On Aviles Street, the oldest street in the continental United States, the Spanish Military Hospital Museum recreates the hospital that served St. Augustine during the Second Spanish Period. A 45 minute guided tour moves through reconstructed hospital rooms with live demonstrations of 18th century surgery and apothecary work, and includes the museum's Colonial Garden.
Well behaved dogs on a standard leash are welcome to join the tour with you. The museum is open daily except Thanksgiving and Christmas, and has no lot of its own, so plan on the Historic Downtown Parking Garage or a nearby meter.
