Willowbranch Creek runs through this Avondale green on Sydney Street, with picnic shelters, a playground, and a shaded hiking path under a deep canopy. The creek corridor and tree cover give the park a quieter neighborhood feel than the busier Riverside Avenue waterfront lawns a few minutes away.

Leashed dogs are welcome on the grounds. Use it as a neighborhood stretch when you are already in Avondale or Riverside, not as an off-leash destination. Come in daylight for a creek-side walk, then continue toward Saint Johns Avenue when you are ready for food or coffee.
